
Rosary M. Smurro, 69, of Manalapan, died on Saturday, March 31,
2012, at home with her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, she lived on Staten
Island before moving to Manalapan 27 years ago.
She was a communicant of in Manalapan, and a former communicant and member of the Rosary Altar Society of St. Edmund’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn. Rosary was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her two sons and daughters-in-law,
Michael and Lisa of Freehold and Joseph and Christine of Manalapan; her
daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Wesley Pericone of Staten Island;
brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Anne Azzarello of Staten Island; sister,
Sandy Raschella of Staten Island; and six grandchildren, Vincent, Joseph,
Gianna, Rosary, Sabrina and Paige.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, 4/2, from 7 to 9 PM and
Tuesday, 4/3, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM, at the , 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be
celebrated on Wednesday, 4/4, at 10 AM at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Route
520, Marlboro. Entombment will follow at the parish cemetery.
