Obituary: Stanley J. Petner, 66

Stanley J. Petner, 66, of Manalapan, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at , Englishtown. Born in Sayreville, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 40 years. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro.

Stan was a Vietnam War Army veteran from 1965 through 1968. He was a senior lab technician for over 20 years at Exxon Mobil Oil in Edison before retiring in 2006.

He was predeceased by his 12 year old granddaughter, Kaylee Ramos, who passed on February 2, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Renee; his two sons, Joseph and Tony; two daughters, Gina DiBenedetto and Nikki Agnese; his sister, Florence Stanik; and three grandchildren, Lacey and Julianne Ramos, and Gracie DiBenedetto.

A private visitation was held this morning, from 8 a.m. to 8:30 am at the, Manalapan, followed by a private service at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
