MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from March 16 to 22.
On Tuesday, March 22, at approximately 1:21 p.m., a 50-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor(s) utilized the victim’s personal information to apply for credit cards and a personal loan. The victim also reported fraudulent charges on their credit card. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the report.
On Tuesday, March 22, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a 71-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were being harassed by a neighbor. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident.

On Monday, March 21, at approximately 5:41 a.m., a 28-year-old East Windsor resident reported that an unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at a Demarest Drive residence. No items were reported missing from the vehicle. Patrolman Matthew Mattia handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Sunday, March 20, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a 34-year-old Manalapan resident reported during the overnight hours, an unknown actors(s) spray painted the driver’s side door of their vehicle while it was parked at a Dortmunder Drive residence. Patrolman Jean Letts handed the report.

On Friday, March 18, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Mattia and Patrolman Aaron Abeles responded to the Mercer County Correctional Facility and took custody of Joseph P. Besner, a 44-year-old married, unemployed, male resident of South Amboy, New Jersey regarding warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal
Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Besner was placed under arrest and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a future court date.
On Friday, March 18, at approximately 2:50 p.m., a 57-year-old Little Silver resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that a Manalapan resident posed as a representative from two separate shipping companies and attempted to defraud multiple businesses. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolmen Hayden Hrymack took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Friday, March 18, at approximately 11:27 a.m., a 62-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) removed the catalytic converters from two vehicles while they were parked in the parking lot of a Park Avenue business. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Thursday, March 17, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a 32-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor utilized the victim’s personal information to register for college courses in the amount of $1,483.26. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis took the report.
On Wednesday, March 16, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle while was parked in the Wegmans Supermarket parking lot, located at 55 Route 9, and removed items values at $1,310.00. Patrolman Everett McNulty handled the report, which is pending further investigation
On Wednesday, March 16, at approximately 7:36 p.m., a 53-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) obtained the victim’s personal information and applied for credit cards. The unknown actor(s) subsequently made fraudulent purchases totaling in approximately $3,000.00. Patrolman McNulty handled the report which is pending further investigation.
