MANALAPAN, NJ - Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from July 7 to 13.

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at approximately 11:31 p.m., two actors described as wearing all dark clothing, gloves, and masks smashed the front door to the Luxury Labels, located at 335 Route 9 in Manalapan, NJ, and removed numerous designer handbags. The suspects fled in a light colored sedan. The value of the stolen merchandise has not yet been determined. Patrolman Brian Schank handled the report, which is pending further investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Jennie Rae Hensley at 732-446-8392 or the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300.

On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a 27-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that unknown actor(s) removed a license plate from their vehicle. It is unknown when or where the incident occurred. Patrolman Chris Schou handled the report.

On Thursday, July 13, 2021, at 10:01 a.m., a 24-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being the victim of identity theft after completing an online job application and providing their pedigree information via the internet. The victim was subsequently provided with a check, which was found to be fraudulent. No monetary loss was incurred by the victim as a result of this incident. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the report.

On Thursday, July 13, 2021, at 8:15 a.m., a 33-year-old resident of West Long Branch reported that roofing material was stolen from a St. Andrews Place residence. The value of the material and timeframe of the theft have yet to be determined. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, July 12, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m., an 83-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown actor(s) obtained their bank account information and were attempting to remove cash from the account. The victim did not suffer any financial loss as a result of this incident. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.

On Tuesday, July 12, 2021, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a 64-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported unknown actor(s) vandalized a vehicle while it was parked on Amberly Drive during the overnight hours, specifically by scratching the passenger side of the vehicle with an unknown object. Patrolman Sean McCarthy handled the report.

On Monday, July 12, 2021, at approximately 9:18 a.m., a 66-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported an unknown actor(s) used their pedigree information to apply for fraudulent unemployment benefits. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report.

On Saturday, July 10, 2021, at approximately 11:40 p.m., a 23-year-old Manalapan Township resident and a 21-year-old Freehold Township resident were involved in a physical altercation with four unknown actors on Fawn Run in Manalapan Township. No injuries were reported and no complaints were signed as a result of the incident. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report.

On Saturday, July 10, 2021, at approximately 5:50 p.m., a 23-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor sent harassing messages via a social media account. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.

On Friday, July 9, 2021, at approximately 12:48 p.m., a 48-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that during an unknown timeframe unidentified actor(s) had placed something inside the engine of a vehicle causing it to seize. The damage to the vehicle is estimated to be $30,000.00. Patrolman Jean Letts handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Thursday, July 8, 2021, at approximately 5:41 p.m., a 62-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) applied for Worker Compensation benefits using victim’s pedigree information. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.

On Thursday, July 8, 2021, at approximately 3:50 p.m., a 54-year old Manalapan Township resident reported an unknown actor(s) used their pedigree information to apply for fraudulent unemployment benefits. Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.

On Thursday, July 8, 2021, at approximately 9:23 a.m., a 53-year-old Freehold Township resident reported being harassed by a 47-year-old Morganville, NJ resident. There were no complaints signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jean Letts handled the report.

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at approximately 4:05 p.m., a 43-year old Somerset, NJ resident and a 40-year-old Matawan resident were involved in a physical altercation resulting in minor injuries at the Exxon Service Station located at 208 Route 9 in Manalapan. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 2:44 p.m., Michael Neufville, 29 year-old married, self-employed, male, resident of Brooklyn, NY, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Neufville was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the arresting officer.
