Tap Water Advisory: Water Maintenance Scheduled In Manalapan
Manalapan residents may experience low pressure, slight discoloration or cloudiness of tap water next week. Here's what to expect:
MANALAPAN, NJ - It’s time to load up on bottled water.
Water authority SUEZ announced Thursday that it is scheduled to begin water main and hydrant maintenance Tuesday of next week in order to sustain high-quality drinking water and assure reliable fire protection use in the region. The maintenance work is expected to begin March 16 and continue through around May 14.
The company warns that residents may temporarily experience low pressure, volume, slight discoloration or cloudiness of tap water during maintenance work. If discoloration or cloudiness occurs, it is recommended that customers shut the water off and check clarity by running a cold water tap for a few minutes to allow new water to work its way through the pipes.

Residential and business customers who observe SUEZ crews working on nearby streets are advised not to use tap water, washing machines or dishwashers until the work is completed.
“It is important to remove sediment build-up in fire hydrants from the winter months to improve carrying capacity within the water pipes,” said Jim Mastrokalos, SUEZ’s Director of Operations. “This cleaning also serves a critical role in ensuring that SUEZ customers receive top quality water service within their homes and businesses.”
