Thieves Break Into Home, Steal BMW In Manalapan
On Aug. 16 yet another luxury car was stolen in Monmouth County, but this time the suspect entered the home to get the key fob, police say.

MANALAPAN, NJ — On Aug. 16, yet another luxury car was stolen in Monmouth County, but this time the suspect entered the home to get the key fob, police say.
The car was stolen in Manalapan and it had been parked inside a garage, the homeowner told police.
The alarming incident occurred last Thursday: The 46-year-old Manalapan resident reported that during the overnight hours, an unknown actor entered their Blair Lane residence and removed the key fob to a white 2016 BMW X5. The high-end SUV had been parked inside the home's garage.

The car was subsequently stolen, along with two Mac Book laptops, which are valued at a total of $3,200.
As Patch has reported, luxury cars are often stolen in Monmouth County, but the cars have usually been left unlocked, sitting in driveways. However, a 2017 Infiniti QX6 was stolen at gunpoint in Long Branch on June 27. Most of the cars are being stolen by an organized crime ring targeting Monmouth County, Deal police warned in a Facebook post. Deal has had several cars stolen in that town.
