FREEHOLD, NJ — In effort to combat America's growing "skills gap" locally, the Monmouth County Guidance Directors' Association (MCGDA) is hosting a countywide Trade and Jobs Fair this Thursday, February 28, from 6-8 p.m. at the Freehold Career Center, 1000 Kozloski Road, Freehold, NJ.
Open to all Monmouth County residents, the fair will feature representatives from over 50 employers, trade schools, trade unions and public works departments. Here in the Garden State articles from NJBIA, NJBiz and NJSpotlight.com, as well as a 2017 report from The Asbury Park Press that highlights hiring struggles experienced by a Monmouth County employer, show that New Jersey has its own "skills gap" to fill too.
