2-Alarm Structure Blaze In Manalapan Thursday Under Investigation

MANALAPAN, NJ - A structure fire impacted a condominium development in Manalapan during the early morning hours of Feb. 11, authorities said.

The blaze occurred on Heron Court, a part of the Tracy Village Townhouse Complex.

The Twitter account CentralJerseyFire initially reported the blaze at a two-story townhouse located at 108 Heron Ct. The first reports of the fire began at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The account detailed a fire in the attic and basement. By 3:03 a.m., a collapse on the first floor was reported with “all members accounted for.”

An additional fire was found on the second floor shortly thereafter.

The “bulk of the fire” was knocked down by 3:29 a.m., the account reported.

The Asbury Park Press also reported that the blaze "burned two large holes through the roof."

Responders from Englishtown, Freehold, Manalapan, Marlboro and Monroe Township fire departments assisted at the scene.

“At this time the structure fire on Heron Court is still pending the outcome of the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office investigation,” Deputy Chief Leonard Maltese told Patch in an email.

There were no reported injuries in connection to the fire, Maltese said.
