Unlocked Cars Entered In Manalapan Dec. 20

Multiple cars were broken into in Manalapan last week. All the cars had been left unlocked and were parked in driveways.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Multiple cars were broken into in Manalapan last week, police reported. All the cars had been left unlocked and were parked in the homeowners' driveways.

The cars were all entered last Wednesday, Dec. 20 and the break-ins occurred on Willow Grove Way and Locust Grove Lane. A resident on Willow Grove Way reported that two of his vehicles were burglarized during the overnight hours of Dec. 19 and Dec. 20. The suspects opened both of the victim's vehicles and removed a wallet containing a driver's license, debit cards, cigarettes and $275 in cash. The victim lost a total amount of $445 in personal property.

That same day, a woman on Locust Grove Lane reported her car was burglarized sometime between December 19 at 2:30 p.m. and December 20 at 7:55 a.m. She had left the car unlocked with the key fobs inside. The suspects stole one key fob, $80 in cash and her New Jersey driver's license.
