MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from March 9 to 15:
On Tuesday, March 15, at approximately 1:52 p.m., a 32-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor punctured the tires of a vehicle sometime between March 11, and March 14, while it was parked at a Woodward Road address. The total cost of the damage was approximately $4,200.00. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Tuesday, March 15, at 12:45 a.m., Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Antwan Gowans, a 32-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Old Bridge, who is employed as a salesman, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Cranford Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Gowans was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.

On Monday, March 14, at approximately 12:03 p.m., a 38-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor filed an unemployment claim in the victim’s name in July 2021. Patrolman Ross Dessel took the report.
On Monday, March 14, at 6:20 a.m., a 43-year-old Manalapan resident reported that two vehicles sustained window damage sometime between 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 and 6:15 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022, while parked at a Maxwell Lane residence. Patrolman Matthew Mattia handled the report.

On Sunday, March 13, at approximately 5:24 p.m., employees of the CVS Pharmacy, located at 253 Gordon’s Corner Road, reported that an individual, described as a black male, approximately 50 years of age, wearing a tan hat, dark jacket, and gray pants, removed various medications, valued at $713.08, from the business without rendering payment. Patrolman Jason Vigneault took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Saturday, March 12, at 11:05 p.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a Marlboro resident (unknown age) caused damage to a concrete landing at an Atrium Way residence. Patrolman Matthew Mattia handled the report, which is pending the signing of complaints.
On Thursday, March 10, at 3:37 p.m., a 25 -year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) entered the victim’s vehicle, which was parked at a Sweetman’s Lane residence, and stole various items including bank cards. The unknown actor(s) subsequently made fraudulent purchases in the amount of $256.00. Patrolman Everett McNulty handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Thursday, March 10, at 1:41 p.m., a 69-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor obtained the victim’s checkbook and cashed a check in the amount of $4,900.00. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.
On Thursday, March 10, at 10:44 a.m., an 85-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor used the victim’s personal information to apply for a credit card. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.
On Wednesday, March 9, at 2:45 p.m., an unknown actor, described as a black male, wearing a hooded shirt and a mask, attempted to enter a running, parked vehicle in a parking lot at the intersection of Route 522 and Main Street in Manalapan. The suspect subsequently fled the scene in a white Range Rover. Patrolman Jeff Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Wednesday, March 9, at approximately 12:12 p.m., a 60-year-old resident of Morganville reported that a 58-year-old Manalapan Township resident vandalized a Medford Court apartment. The cost of the damage is unknown at this time. Patrolman Hayden Hrymack handled the report.
