Wallet Stolen at Manalapan Home Goods

Someone swiped a wallet at the Manalapan Home Goods Saturday and used it to charge $6,000 worth of items at the nearby Target, police said.

MANALAPAN, NJ - A Colts Neck man said he was shopping at the Manalapan Home Goods this past Saturday when his wallet was stolen, and someone then used his credit card to make $6,000 worth of purchases at the Target in the same shopping complex.

The theft occurred at the Manalapan EpiCentre on Rt. 9 Saturday afternoon: Police were called to the Home Goods at 3:35 p.m.; the wallet had been taken sometime before that. The 48-year-old Colts Neck man said there had been $6,000 worth of items charged to his credit card at the Target next door that same afternoon. The wallet itself was valued at $850.

In other Manalapan police blotter news, someone broke into multiple storage sheds last week at the Country Roads Day Camp on Pine Brook Road. The sheds were broken into during the overnight hours of Saturday, January 7 and items valued at approximately $520 were removed.
