Wallets Taken at Manalapan Wegmans, Panera
Two people reported their wallets were lifted from their purses while shopping last week at the Manalapan EpiCentre complex.

MANALAPAN, NJ - Be alert while shopping, Manalapan residents. Two people reported their wallets were lifted out of their purses while shopping last week at the Wegman's Manalapan EpiCentre shopping complex.
On Thursday, a 52-year-old Jackson woman said someone took her wallet from her purse while she was at the Panera at 10:45 a.m. After the wallet was removed, several unauthorized purchases were made on her credit cards, she said.
A day later, on Friday, a 63-year-old Freehold Township resident reported that she thinks her wallet was stolen at the Manalapan Wegmans on February 28. She didn't notice it happened until several unauthorized purchases were made on her credit card, totaling $110.

Also on Friday afternoon, Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis arrested a man for shoplifting $45.82 in food from the Wegmans. The Monroe Township man put the items in a reusable shopping bag and tried to walk out of the store without paying, police said.
