WATCH: New Video Released Of Manalapan Bank Robbery Suspect

The man walked into Sun National on Rt. 9 Friday, said he had a bomb and demanded cash, police say. New images and video released Wednesday.

Manalapan, NJ - Last Friday afternoon, Sept. 30, police say this man robbed the Sun National Bank off Rt. 9 in Manalapan Township. And now they released a new video and photos of the suspect -- who is not wearing a mask -- that was taken either shortly before or after the alleged robbery. The man walked into the bank at 12:45 p.m. Friday and said he had a bomb and demanded cash. He left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Investigators also released additional photographs. Detectives are asking for assistance from the general public in identifying the man, said Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni. This man was involved in the robbery at the Sun National Bank located at 191 Plaza 9, in Manalapan Township (Route 9 southbound between Taylor’s Mills Rd. and Symmes Drive) in close proximity and time to the bank robbery.

On Friday, September 30, at approximately 12:45 p.m. an unshaven white male entered the bank. The man is described as approximately 50-60 years of age, standing about 5’10” tall and weighting approximately 185 lbs., wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black knit hat and sunglasses. The man indicated he was in possession of a bomb and demanded money from the teller. The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

It is unknown if the suspect was actually in possession of any type of explosive device or other weapons.
