Boil Water Advisory In Manalapan

A boil water advisory is in place for Station Street and Millhurst Road, Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School and Wemrock Brook School.

MANALAPAN, NJ — SUEZ Water is currently experiencing a water main break in the area of Station Street/Millhurst Road in Manalapan, the company announced Tuesday morning. Some residents, schools and businesses will be affected, the company said.

"Our crews are mobilized and will be making the repair," said Jane Kunka, the public affairs manager at SUEZ Water.

The water will remain operational until mid-day today so as not to interfere with Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School until the students are dismissed, she said. Following the break, SUEZ officials issued a boil water advisory for affected residents and businesses in the area of Station Street and Millhurst Road, as well as Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School and Wemrock Brook School.

Affected are: Residents at 136, 138, 142, 146, 148, 150 Millhurst Road; Wemrock Brook School, 118 Millhurst Road; Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School, 155 Millhurst Road; Rex Lumber, 1 Station Street; Twin Towers Trading, Inc., 10 Station Street/12 Conover Street; Residents located at 14, 16, 18, 22, 25, 28 Station Street.

Once water is restored, residents, businesses and the schools affected will have to bring their tap water to a rolling boil for one minute for the following: drinking, cooking or baking, preparing foods, making ice cubes, taking medication, brushing teeth, washing food, washing vegetables and fruit, mixing food, mixing juices or drinks, mixing baby formula, feeding pets and all other consumption.
