MANALAPAN, NJ - Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests between Jan. 26 and Feb. 1:

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 11:43 a.m., a 71-year-old Manalapan resident reported being harassed by a Manalapan resident (unknown age) during the course of the last 4 months. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at approximately 10:50 a.m., a 79-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported being contacted by an unknown actor via telephone who was claiming to be a vendor for an online retailer, advising that the victim owed the retailer money. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. The incident was handled by Patrolman Reginald Grant. The Manalapan Police would like to remind residents to be aware of these types of scams and to contact the Manalapan Police at (732)446-4300 if you suspect fraud.

On Monday, January 31, 2022, at approximately 4:32 p.m., a 39-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of a Briarheath Avenue residence and removed items valued at approximately $111.00. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, at approximately 1:04 p.m., a 73-year-old Colts Neck resident reported that two unknown actors were observed to have entered unlocked vehicles parked at 394 Main Street in Manalapan. The actors subsequently fled the scene in a black sport utility vehicle. No items were reported missing from the vehicles. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, at approximately 4:30 p.m., employees of the Wegmans Supermarket, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that a female suspect exited the store without paying for $88.47 worth of merchandise. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report, which is pending the signing of Complaints.

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at approximately 7:55 p.m., a 70-year-old Manalapan resident reported providing personal information to an unknown actor resulting in $1,000.00 being fraudulently withdrawn from the victim’s bank account. Patrolman Jason Vigneault took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a 62-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that sometime between January 16, 2022 and January 21, 2022, an unknown actor had removed approximately $30,000 in cash from an Overlook Way residence. Patrolman William Dutton took the report. Which is pending further investigation.

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at approximately 2:21 p.m., a 56-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a 31-year-old Manalapan resident had taken the victim’s vehicle without consent. The vehicle, which was valued at approximately $7,000.00, was subsequently recovered. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the report.
