The 200 Club Of Monmouth County Honors Scholarship Winners

This year's event was held at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como after being held virtually last year.

LAKE COMO, NJ – The 200 Club of Monmouth County recently held its scholarship ceremony was held in person at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, where it awarded $87,750 in college scholarships to 68 students from 59 first responder families in Monmouth County. To date, The 200 Club has given out about $2.5 million in college scholarships.

“Only one recipient could attend in person last year, given the pandemic. We are so excited to be meeting in person this year with all the scholarship recipients. These scholarships allow The 200 Club of Monmouth County to fulfill our mission of giving back to law enforcement and other first responders and their families in Monmouth County. We are honored to assist these deserving families who give so much to our community as first responders,” Robert Honecker, President of The 200 Club of Monmouth County, said in a statement.

Jack Niesz, son of Manasquan Chief of Police Michael Bauer and a junior at Coastal Carolina University, received The 200 Club’s special $2,500 Ben Danskin Scholarship.

The Ben Danskin Scholarship is in memory of Ben Danskin, a founding father of The 200 Club of Monmouth County. Niesz is double majoring in business management and marketing.

“I feel proud and honored to have received a scholarship from The 200 Club of Monmouth County. My dad is a first responder, so I really appreciate all the hard work The 200 Club does in support of him and others,” Niesz said in a statement.
