• Needles Also Found On Beaches In Point Pleasant, Seaside Park (patch.com) — Manasquan beachgoers dealt with about 60 medical needles and thousands of pieces of trash washing ashore near the inlet, prompting a temporary beach closure and a major cleanup by residents and the town. State officials say heavy rain and sewer overflows up north likely sent the debris to Manasquan and nearby beaches, and they're urging safer disposal of at-home medical syringes.
