• Rivalry Reclaimed: Clayton, Point Boro Run Past Manasquan (shoresportsinsider.com) — Manasquan's football team fell 20-6 in a hard-hitting rivalry game at Point Boro, playing without injured starting quarterback Kyle Dow and relying on a run-heavy Wildcat attack. Senior back Dax Klein kept the Warriors close with 99 rushing yards and a touchdown, and Manasquan now looks to regroup at home next Saturday when it hosts highly ranked Matawan.
• Dozens Stung by Jellyfish at Jersey Shore Beaches Over Weekend (wdhafm.com) — Beachgoers in Manasquan were among dozens stung by jellyfish at several Monmouth and Ocean County beaches last weekend, though lifeguards say the painful welts are temporary. Local safety officials advise rinsing with water and using wet sand to remove stinging cells, and beaches, including Manasquan, remain open with lifeguards available to explain current water conditions.
• King Risk Partners acquires Conover Beyer (coverager.com) — A longtime Manasquan-based insurance agency, Conover Beyer Associates, has been acquired by Florida-headquartered King Risk Partners, bringing the local firm into a larger Mid-Atlantic network. The family- and veteran-owned agency, founded in 1882, will keep serving New Jersey clients while expanding its capabilities in commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, bonding, and risk management.
