Belmar Man Critical After Crash
An unidentified man is in critical condition as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle along Main Street in Belmar Sunday evening.

An unidentified man is in critical condition as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle along Main Street in Belmar Sunday evening, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
The pedestrian was crossing Main Street at 15th Avenue at approximately 7:35 p.m. on Sunday evening when he was struck by a 2002 Mercedes Benz 320 wagon, driven by Brian H. Getcliffe of Point Pleasant. Mr. Getcliffe was the only person in the vehicle, he was uninjured.
The injured male was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township, where he is currently in critical condition. Police remain in the process of identifying this injured pedestrian.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and Belmar Police Department.
