Boston Marathon 2022: Who In Manasquan Is Racing, How To Track Them

The Boston Marathon returns April 18, and one Manasquan resident will be among the 30,000 participants.

MANASQUAN, NJ — Thirty-thousand participants will cross the starting line April 18 at the 2022 Boston Marathon. One of them is a Manasquan resident.

For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon will take place on Patriots' Day — a Massachusetts holiday commemorating the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War. The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.

The following racer lives in Manasquan, according to the Boston Athletic Association, which hosts the marathon:

  • Download the Boston Athletic Association's racing app, which is free on iPhone and Android devices.
  • Follow along on the B.A.A. website, which will change April 18 to allow people to track runners on race day.
  • Sign up for AT&T text alerts, which will text you when your favorite athlete reaches certain race milestones and crosses the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.

  • 9:05 a.m.: wheelchair division, women
  • 9:30 a.m.: handcycle and duo participants
  • 9:37 a.m.: professional men

  • 10 a.m.: Wave 1
  • 10:25 a.m.: Wave 2
  • 10:50 a.m.: Wave 3
