Brielle Fire Kills 1, Destroys Family's Home

A video captured a fire ripping through a Monmouth County house on Tuesday morning.

One person died in a fire that ripped through a Monmouth County house early Tuesday, police said.

The fast-moving fire ripped through a Monmouth County home on Tuesday morning, and the scene was caught on video (see below).

Police Chief Michael Palmer told The Asbury Park Press that the house at 11 N. Tamarack Drive in Brielle was "fully engulfed," and a deceased person was found inside the residence.

The victim was not identified as of press time. News12 also reported that a middle-aged woman was taken to the hospital for injuries.

The fire broke out at around 7 a.m. in a home on North Tamarack Drive in Brielle, according to News12.

Firefighters from several nearby communities were called in to help battle the blaze.
