Bridge Construction To Begin In Manasquan Area

MANASQUAN – Bridge construction is set to begin that could have an impact on Manasquan.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation will begin construction on Monday on the Route 34 Bridge over the Edgar Felix Memorial Bikeway, commonly referred to as the Manasquan bike path.

During this period of construction, travel lanes on Route 34 will be impacted and will have to merge into one lane in each direction at times.

Also, a portion of the Edgar Felix Memorial Bikeway will have to be closed and will be inaccessible to pedestrians and bicyclists while construction crews address the underside of the bridge.

The anticipated date of completion for this construction project is November 2020.
