Coastal Monmouth Beach Weather Report For Aug. 7, 2016

A beautiful August day on the way.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies today with highs in the upper 80s.

Beach winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour. There is no lightning threat today.

The surf will be three feet high, with southeast swells around two feet. The water temperature is 75 degrees.
There's a low risk of rip currents today. But strong currents can still occur, near piers, jetties and other areas especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and discuss possible surf zone hazards with the guards.

Don't forget the sunscreen. The UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high.

High tide at Belmar will roll in at 11:22 a.m.. Low tide will occur at 5:08 p.m., followed by another high tide at 11:29 p.m...
