The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon, which could be heavy. The highs will be in the low 80s. Beach winds will be light and variable this morning,s witching to the southeast in the afternoon at five to 10 miles an hour.
The surf will be around two feet, with south swells around two feet. The water temperature is 75 degrees. .The rip current risk is low, but strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only where lifeguards are present and discuss any surf zone hazards with them.

The UV index is a 9, which the NWS considers high, so don't forget the sunscreen.
The lightning threat is moderate, which means thunderstorms are possible.

Low tide at Belmar will arrive at 10:48 a.m., followed by high tide at 5:11 p.m.
