A great beach day today, heat and storms return tomorrow

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies today with highs in the upper 70s, so take the day off if you can.
Beach winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
The surf will be around three feet, with southeast swells around two feet. The water temperature is 75 degrees. The rip current risk today is moderate, which means wind and or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents.

Swim only in guarded areas and always have a flotation device with you in the water. Discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the guards.
There is no lightning threat today. Bring your sunscreen. The UV index is a 9, which the NWS considers very high.
High tide at Belmar will roll in at 9:50 a.m. Low tide will occur at 3:45 p.m., followed by another high tide at 9:59 p.m.
