A beautiful late summer beach day on the way.

The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-80s, so grab this beautiful late summer day while you can.
Beach winds will be from the north at around 10 miles per hour in the morning, switching over to the east in the afternoon.
Ocean waves will be around two feet high, with south swells around two feet. The water temperature is 78 degrees.

The rip current risk is low today, but strong currents can still occur near jetties, piers and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the lifeguards.
There is no lightning threat today. The UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high.

High tide at Belmar will occur at 8:30 a.m. Low tide will roll in at 2:43 p.m., followed by another high tide at 8:49 p.m.
