The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with possible showers and thunderstorms today.
Beach winds will be from the south at five to 10 miles per hour Highs will be in the lower 80s.
Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells of two feet. The ocean water temperature is 79 degrees, so bring the soap. The rip current risk today is moderate, which means wind or wave conditions can support stronger or more frequent rip currents.

Bring a flotation device with you if you plan on swimming. Only swim in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the guards.
The lightning threat is moderate for today, which means thunderstorms are possible. the UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high.

Low tide at Belmar was at 3:54 a.m. High tide will roll in at 10:05 a.m., followed by another low tide at 4:19 p.m.
