Coastal Monmouth County Beach Weather Report For Aug. 26, 2016

Possible early showers, followed by mostly sunny skies

Summer just won't let go.

The National Weather Service is calling for isolated showers early today, then becoming mostly sunny later. There is no lightning threat.

Highs will be in the upper 80s, with southwest beach winds around 10 miles per hour.

Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells around two feet. The ocean water temperature is 74 degrees.

The rip current risk for today is low. But strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and talk to the lifeguards about any possible surf zone hazards.

The UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers high.

Low tide at Belmar will arrive at 8:33 a.m. High tide will roll in at 2:51 p.m., followed by another low tide at 9:33 p.m.
