Coastal Monmouth County Beach Weather Report For Aug. 27, 2016
Sunny skies ahead, but watch out for rips.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s on this last weekend before Labor Day.
Beach winds will be from the northeast around 10 miles per hour. There is no lightning threat.
Waves will be around three feet high with southeast swells around two feet. The water temperature will vary between 70 to 75 degrees.
There's a moderate risk of rip currents, which means strong currents can occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the lifeguards. Always have a flotation device with you in the water.

The UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high.
Low tide at Belmar will come in at 10:14 a.m. High tide will roll in at 4:25 p.m. followed by another low tide at 11:13 p.m.
