Coastal Monmouth County Beach Weather Report For Sept. 13, 2016

Another late summer beach day on the way.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies today with temperatures in the upper 70s.

Beach winds will be from the south at five to 10 miles per hour. Waves will be from two to three feet high, with southeast swells around two feet. The water temperature is 74 degrees.

There's a low risk of rip currents. But strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the guards.

The UV index is a 7, which the NWS considers high. There is no lightning threat today.

High tide at Barnegat Inlet rolled in at 5:23 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 11:35 a.m, followed by anothr high tide at 5:42 p.m.
