Coastal Monmouth County Beach Weather Report For Sept. 14, 2016
A beautiful late summer beach day on the way.

If you are lucky enough to have the day off, head for the beach. It will be fall within a week.
The National Weather Serviceis calling for sunny skies with highs in the mid-80s. Beach winds will be from the southwest at 10 miles per hour.Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells of two feet. The ocean water temperature in 74 degrees.
There's a low risk of rip currents today, but strong currents can still occur near piers and jetties and other areas, especially during low tide. Swim only in areas guarded areas and talk with the guards about any possible surf zone hazards.

There is no lightning threat today. The UV index is a 7, which the National Weather Service considers high.
High tide at Belmar was at 5:47 a.m. Low tide will arrive 11:53 a.m., followed by another high tide at 6:08 p.m.
