Coastal Monmouth County Beach Weather Report For Sept. 20, 2016
Not a great beach day forecast for today.

The National Weather Service is calling for cloudy skies today with scattered showers.
Temperatures will be in the upper 70s. Beach winds will be from the northeast at five miles per hour.
There are few guarded beaches this late in September, so check and make sure the beach you want to visit is open.
Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells around two feet. The ocean water temperature is 71 degrees. The rip current risk today is low. But strong currents can still occur near piers, jetties and other areas, especially during low tide.

Swim only in guarded areas and discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the guards.
There is no lightning threat today. The UV index is a 5, which the NWS considers moderate.

High tide at Belmar will arrive at 10:36 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 4:56 p.m., followed by another high tide at 11:35 p.m.
