Daniel R. Guida, Longtime Belmar Resident, Dies At 80
Services set for Sunday at O'Brien Funeral Home.

Daniel R. Guida, 80, of Belmar passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick Hospital.
Daniel was born and raised in Jersey City and resided there until moving to Belmar 47 years ago. As a resident of Belmar, he was a faithful Communicant of St. Rose R.C. Church. He had been employed as a salesman at Gelco Furniture, Wanamassa for many years before his retirement. Dan was an avid NY Yankees fan, watching every game on TV and attended many games with his children when he was younger.
He was predeceased by his parents Donato and Emelia Rossi Guida and his siblings, Leonard, Millie, Sarah, Margie, and Emmy. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Alice Angowski Guida, his devoted children Daniel Guida III of Lima, OH, Thomas Guida of Ellsworth, Maine, Catherine Faggiana of Brick, John Guida of Brick, and Anthony Guida of Marlton, his nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Sunday from 2 p.m.until the time of the Funeral Service at 4 p.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. In lieu of flowers the Guida family requests donations to the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ, 1 AAA Dr., Suite 203, Trenton, NJ 08691, www.efnj.com.
