Douglas W. Cole, Jr. Of Spring Lake Heights Dies At 74
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at St. Catherine's R.C. Church.

Douglas W. Cole, Jr., 74, of Spring Lake Heights passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Douglas was born in Neptune and had resided in Neptune City before moving to Spring Lake Heights 50 years ago.
He was a graduate of Asbury Park High School and went on to proudly serve our country in the US Army.
Douglas was employed as a lineman for Jersey Central Power & Light Co., Allenhurst for his entire working career and was also a member of IBEW Local # 400, Wall Township for many years. He will miss the JCPL brotherhood and his golf buddies who frequently put up with his flying clubs.
He was predeceased by his parents Douglas W. and Helen M. Bratz Cole Sr., his brother John (Jack) Cole, and his sister Patricia Cole.
Douglas is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Maureen Porter Cole, his twosons Kevin and Kyle Cole of Spring Lake Heights, his daughter Kelly Cole and husband Bruce Budwig of Waverly Twp., Pa., his four grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Emily, and Katrina and his many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Catharine’s RC Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake. Please go directly to the church on Monday, as there will not be a procession from the funeral home. There is no prior visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family specifically requests donations be made in memory of Douglas to the American Cancer Society , 2310 Hwy 34, Suite 1-D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
