Eat a Sub, Help Grant Wishes to NJ Children during Jersey Mike's Subs "Month of Giving"

Make-A-Wish New Jersey is joining forces with 53 Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants throughout the state for the 7th Annual March “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign. During the month of March, customers can make a donation to any of 53 Jersey Mike’s locations in North and Central New Jersey.

The campaign will culminate in Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” on Wednesday, March 29, when the local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales – every single dollar that comes in – to the partner charities.

“A wish experience has a magical way of unifying people around the powerful mission of bringing hope, strength, and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions,” said Tom Weatherall, president and chief executive officer of Make-A-Wish New Jersey. “Last year our chapter granted a record 483 wishes making an impact in all 21 counties we serve in the Garden State. Our goal for 2017 is even more ambitious- to find and grant the wishes of well over 500 New Jersey children. We are wildly confident in, and deeply grateful for, this tremendous support from our friends at Jersey Mike’s Subs.”

In 2016, the New Jersey area Jersey Mike’s locations raised more than $240,000 for the campaign.

To kick off Month of Giving, Make-A-Wish New Jersey will light up its iconic home base at the Samuel & Josephine Plumeri Wishing Place in Monroe Township in red and blue, Jersey Mike’s colors. Visitors will also see the lighting display around Day of Giving, reminding them to eat a sub to help the organization on March 29.

Other Make-A-Wish chapters in the Tri-State area are benefiting as well. Eleven Connecticut Jersey Mike’s locations are raising funds for Make-A-Wish Connecticut, two Manhattan locations are supporting Make-A-Wish Metro New York and two Long Island locations are benefitting Make-A-Wish Suffolk County.

Throughout the country, on Day of Giving, Jersey Mike’s locations will donate 100 percent of sales to nearly 150 different charities including hospitals, youth organizations, food banks and more.

Everyone is invited to come in to a local Jersey Mike’s restaurant and enjoy a delicious sub meal.

Last year’s Month of Giving campaign raised more than $4 million for local charities nationwide. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than $20 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
