Locals Feeding Locals— A Taste of Autumn

Locals Feeding Locals is the third event Giamano’s has sponsored to raise funds for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This taste of autumn will be an evening to experience the finest Italian dining on the Jersey Shore. Ticket cost is $50 per guest and may be reserved by calling 732-918-2600.  Seats are limited.

Steffan Manno, chef owner of Giamano’s, and the Manno family will graciously prepare a delicious four-course buffet, including appetizers of Giamano’s Famous Roasted Fall Pumpkin and Pasta, Baked Mushrooms Parmigiana, Roasted Garlic and White Bean Bruschetta;  Insalata: choice of Organic Baby Lettuces with Goat Cheese and Pistachio or Giamano’s House Salad with Provolone and Salami; Entrees of Chicken Savoy “House Favorite:; Mezzi Rigatoni Amatriciana or Baked Eggplant Rollatini; as well as delicious dessert and coffee and tea donated by Delpontes Bakery and Asbury Roastery.  A cost of $50 per person includes this amazing 4-course buffet as well as a complimentary glass of wine donated by MontCalm Wine Importers Ltd.

“As an individual and business, I have felt it is important to work with the community.  For a family to be hungry at any time is treacherous and unnecessary.  Working with the FoodBank gives us an opportunity to provide resources to those in need,” said Steffan Manno owner of Giamano’s.

To add to the festivities, jazz music will be provided by Jerry Topinka upstairs and guitar and vocals by Richard Bellia, downstairs.  A gift auction and 50/50 will also be offered.  There will be a collection of non-perishable food and new/gently used clothing for our neighbors in need.

The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, a member of Feeding America, secures and distributes 7 million pounds of donated food annually to a network of approximately 260 hunger relief organizations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  The FoodBank is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit whose mission is to alleviate hunger and build food security through this network of area charities. Those needing emergency food or shelter are encouraged to contact the emergency food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in their communities.  www.foodbankmoc.org or call 732-918-2600
