FEMA Wants Belmar To Cough Up $1 Million
FEMA says the borough was overpaid $1 million in Superstorm Sandy recovery money.

BELMAR – Belmar Mayor Mark Walsifer says FEMA wants its money back.
The borough got more than $8 million to help Belmar recover following Superstorm Sandy in 2012. But the town now says $1,007,000 of that was an overpayment.
FEMA says it did an audit and discovered the overpayment, the mayor said.

"They would like their money back," the mayor said. "We're working on that."
