Inaugural Holiday Decorating Contest Coming To Belmar

BELMAR, NJ - Have a knack for turning your home into the North Pole? You just might win Belmar’s first-ever holiday decorating contest.

The borough’s recreation department will be sponsoring the contest, which is open to registration Nov. 15 and ends Dec. 5. Participation forms can be picked up at Borough Hall or found at www.belmar.com/Recreation.

Judging will start the week of Dec. 13.

Gift certificates to local businesses will be awarded for first, second and third place winners.

Winners will be announced at the Dec. 21 meeting of the mayor and council at 6 p.m.
