Jersey Shore Man Charged In Connection With Belmar Car Thefts: PD
Clinton Johnson, 22, was charged in connection with reported motor vehicle thefts in Belmar and Lake Como, authorities said.
BELMAR, NJ - A Neptune City man has been charged in connection with a string of reported motor vehicle thefts in Belmar and Lake Como, authorities said.
On March 19, Belmar police officers arrested and charged Clinton Johnson, a 22-year-old male from Neptune City in connection with the thefts, which have been upticking “over the past several months,” police said.
Johnson was charged with three counts of burglary to motor vehicles and three counts of thefts from the vehicles on a Lake Como criminal summons.

Authorities believe there are “several more victims than originally documented” and urge anyone who had thefts from vehicles and did not report them to contact the Belmar police department at 732-681-1700.
“We would also like to remind residents in both boroughs to continue to lock their vehicles and report suspicious behavior that is observed,” police said.
