Manasquan easily defeated Point Pleasant Boro in the football home opener this weekend.
Manasquan initially looked defenseless against Point Pleasant Boro's "mesmerizing flexbone, option offense" in the school's 42-28 victory, according to nj.com. But that same defense, however, forced and recovered two fumbles in the game's final 13 minutes that both led to touchdowns.
The Manasquan defense was touched for 368 rushing yards, 197 of which came from Point Pleasant Boro's Garrett Romer, a middle linebacker making his first start at quarterback.
