The Manasquan Borough Council adopted its $11.1 million budget and raised taxes one-cent increase on the municipal rate.

A home assessed a $630,645 would carry a municipal tax bill increase of about $63, according to The Coast Star.

The budget debate was slowed by division over a proposed amendment that would have added funding for the borough’s first aid squad, according to The Coast Star.

Tax assessment appeals may be filed between November 15 and January 15. Forms may be obtained from the County Tax Board.
