Medevac Rescue In Manasquan Thursday Night: Coast Guard

A crewmember of a vessel off the coast of Manasquan was rescued Thursday night after a medical emergency.

MANASQUAN, NJ – A crewmember of a vessel off the coast of Manasquan was rescued Thursday night after a medical emergency, a spokesperson for the Coast Guard said in a press release.

The mariner was medevaced Thursday night approximately 11 miles east of Manasquan after Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders received a call from the captain of the vessel Peter Farber that a crewmember aboard was experiencing abdominal pains and required medical assistance.

A Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew was launched to medevac the crewmember.

The aircrew arrived on scene, hoisted the crewmember and transported him to the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.
