Here is a letter he wrote to parents and students:
On behalf of the Manasquan School District, I would like to introduce myself to the students, parents and community members of Manasquan. The Manasquan Board of Education appointed me to serve as the new high school principal, effective July 15, 2019. After successfully serving for thirteen years as the high school principal in Monroe Township, I look forward to the new challenge of leading our exemplary high school for the 2019-20 school year and beyond.

My familiarity with some of our families and residents, as well as the rich tradition of the high school, will be a great asset in my efforts to communicate our school and district goals for the school year to the school community.
A native of Jersey City, my family has lived at the Jersey Shore for thirty-five years and is well aware of the community of Manasquan and our sending districts. In addition, as a married father of three children, I understand the importance of a quality education for our children in a safe and nurturing environment.
My own educational background and vast experience consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) and a Master of Arts degree in Urban Educational Leadership from New Jersey City University. After 25 years serving as a special education teacher, vice principal and high school principal in other communities, these experiences have provided me with a solid educational and leadership foundation, which are qualities that are necessary to be an effective educational leader in the 21st Century.
The summer months proved to be a very exciting and productive time for schools in preparation for the upcoming school year. The administrative team continues to hire new innovative teachers, schedule students and complete capital projects to maintain our facilities. My goal is to communicate updated news for the opening of the school year and the incredible achievements of our students and teachers each day.
I look forward to meeting all of the parents and school stakeholders at school sponsored events, as well as becoming part of the culture in the community of Manasquan. Please continue to enjoy a restful and safe summer with family and friends.
Sincerely,
Robert Goodall
