Beyond Sustainability: Transitioning to a Resilient Community
BRIELLE- Oct. 15, 6pm at the Brielle Library, 610 South Street, Sean Walsh, innovative landscaper and teacher, will give a presentation about the ecological challenges we face as a society and some of the ways we can addresses them. Attendees will learn about the regenerative powers of the natural world as well as the Transition movement, which promotes local food, energy and economy as key ways to ensure community resilience. A discussion will follow. Sean holds a M.A. in Sustainable Landscape Design & Planning, with additional training in ecology, community food systems, agroforestry, permaculture design, and carbon farming.
