Remembering A Manasquan Firefighter Who Died In Line Of Duty

MANASQUAN – Daniel P. McCann's sister, Beth, wanted to find a way to remember her brother.

In Nutley, they came up with a run to remember him. He died three years ago on 51st birthday.

Beth said the run helps raise money for Dan's volunteer firehouse and for the Nutley squad, which is partially volunteer.

The third annual run was held on Sunday, September 22.

"I wanted to follow in his footsteps," he said.
