Robert D. Smith Of Manasquan Dies At 81

Robert D. Smith Sr., 81, of Delray Beach, Florida and Manasquan passed way on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Pine Crest Hospice in Delray Beach.

Mr. Smith was a salesman for F&A Liquor Distributors in Bayonne for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Manasquan Elks Lodge #2534 and a volunteer at The Delray Beach Tennis Center. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army.

Beloved husband of the late Christine (nee Considine) Smith. Dear father of Robert D. Smith Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Beth Folger and the late Kevin Smith. Brother of Timothy O’Reardon and the late Kenneth “Ray” Smith and Gerald Smith. Grandfather of Robert, Brandon, Emma Lynn Smith, Kevin and Ryan Smith, Kelly, Shannon, Brooke, Hallie and David Folger. Brother-in-law of Donald and Rosetta Considine. Uncle of Cathleen Mercier, Patricia Cooke, Eileen Bezeg, Michael and Thomas Considine.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Route 35, Wall Township. Everyone will meet on Thursday March 12, 2015 at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake for the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Cremation is private.
