Several Thefts Investigated in Manasquan
Backpacks, purses, cell phones and bicycles reported stolen

Manasquan police last week investigated several reported thefts, authorities said.
Police received seven calls regarding apparent thefts, including two iPhones and an iPad left unattended on borough beaches, according to a department release.
Two bicycles, and one purse from an automobile were also reported stolen, the release says.

The following thefts were reported between Aug. 26 and Sept. 3:
- Aug. 29: Theft of a backpack from the Manasquan train station. Patrolman William Sutton investigated.
- Aug. 31: Theft of a purse from a motor vehicle on Euclic Avenue. Special Officer Nicholas Austin investigated.
- Sept. 1: Theft of an iPad and iPhone from Main Beach. Special Officer Ilir Shunda investigated.
- Sept. 2: Theft of a cell phone on First Avenue. Patrolman Nicholas Norcia investigated.
- Sept. 3: Theft of two iPhones and a shirt from Main Beach. Special Officer Matthew Spadaro investigated.
- Sept. 3: Theft of a bicycle from Ocean Avenue. Patrolman Michael Tischio investigated.
- Sept. 3: Theft of a bicycle from Brielle Road. Patrolman John Mahoney investigated.
