Star Of The Sea Chapel To Host Overdose Awareness Day Event

Purple flags will be surrounding the chapel in memory of loved ones lost.

MANASQUAN, NJ – In honor of International Overdose Awareness Day, Recovery Advocates For The Shore (RAFTS) will be holding a celebration at Star Of The Sea Beach Chapel in Manasquan.

Personalized purple flags will be available for a $20 donation and will be planted at the chapel starting Aug. 26 through the 31st.

RAFTS will have a table at Star of the Sea from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 27-31, where people can personalize their flags to honor loved ones lost and also answer questions about RAFTS.

There will also be a prayer service held on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m., led by Father Bill Lago from St. Denis’ Church in Manasquan.
