Thomas Patrick McGarry Of Belmar Dies

Thomas Patrick McGarry of Belmar, went to meet his maker on Jan 17.

Thomas worked for Essex County in Newark for 30 years retiring as the Superintendent of Building in 1996. He was born in Newark and lived there until moving to Belmar 17 years ago.

Thomas is predeceased by his wife ,Patricia Washington McGarry, his parents, Thomas and Kathleen Feeney McGarry, his brother John McGarry , his sisters, Mary (Jean) Sutherland and Elizabeth(Betty) McGarry and daughter-in-law Michele (wife of Dennis). He is survived by his children, Thomas and his wife Jo Ann McGarry,Maureen McGarry and Dennis McGarry,his grandaughters Jessica and Jenna McGarry and his sister Patricia McGarry Drake.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated an Thursday. Jan. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Saint Rose in Belmar. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 pm. to 9 p.m. at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street, Belmar NJ. Committal will be held privately at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery , Wrightstown NJ.
