A train struck a car overnight in Monmouth County, sending at least one person to a nearby hospital, according to NJ Transit.
Service was suspended for several hours between Long Branch and Bay Head after the 10:30 p.m. crash in Spring Lake Heights on Thursday, NJ Transit said.
NJ Transit did not identify the person or the hospital, but none of the 18 passengers were hurt, the agency said.

Train 4383 departed from Penn Station at 8:22 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Bay Head at 10:40 p.m. when it crashed at the Shore Road crossing, according to NJ Transit.
The crossing is a "grade-level" intersection, meaning that the tracks are at ground-level.
